GET TO KNOW ELIA SHELDON

Every since my early school days, I've loved writing stories. The first story I remember writing was about two sisters escaping from an evil castle. They used their clogs as weapons. I never considered writing as a career, but when I began to write longer fiction almost twenty years ago, I dreamed of getting published. My dreams are now one step closer to happening now that I've signed with my literary agent.

• My current work was inspired by the question, "What would it be like if we had the manners of Regency England today?"

• I've been an Austen fan since 6th grade when my English teacher gifted me a copy of Pride and Prejudice

• My fav ice cream flavor is mint chocolate chip

• I'm a trained yoga instructor

• I'm the oldest of five children

• I enjoy knitting, but only knit in the fall and winter
